Are you a little weird?

We are all a little weird
and life's a little weird,
and when we find
someone whose weirdness
is compatible with ours,
we join up with them
and fall in mutual weirdness
and call it LOVE!

Is it just me?

Is it just me or did the world go slightly crazy this week?

So to finish what was a week from the dark side, I decided to pump up the music and dance like no one was watching! Obviously someone was ... I could hear the uncontrollable laughter.

It was just what I needed!

Chocolate Therapy

Yesterday I was slightly stressed over a series of unfortunate events. After the situation was done and dusted a friend who had been there helping me asked if I needed an ambulance. I said only chocolate would fix it!

Can you believe she turned around and produced a family sized block of fruit and nut chocolate from her handbag, ripped off the wrapper and handed me a sizable chunk!

The look on the face of another lady standing next to us was priceless!
That's my sort of first aid!

That reminds me I must book my spot to update my first aid training....
who knows chocolate therapy may be introduced!

Be careful what you wish for . . .

Today was spent at a netball carnival. Six games in a row for the girls. After not finding their "win" all day and facing the hardest team in the competition for the last round the girls decided to have a bit of fun. As you can see by the face - this wasn't the position she was hoping for!!!

This was the process used to decide who played in which positions. The coach took a bit of convincing but eventually gave in to the girls. They all just wanted to play some other position. After being defeated in every round they wished for something different. If not a win then a different experience! They didn't even score in the final game.... but boy they had fun!




This got me thinking about life...

we go through it always wishing for something different to that which we have. But how often do we get what we wished for and find it wasn't what we wanted after all.

Be careful what you wish for . . . you may just get it!

My Enchanted Princess Life!

Today I was having a chat with a girl who had turned 7 yesterday. She was telling me about the gifts she had received for her birthday... including the DVD of The Princess Protection Program.

After explaining to her that I would love to be a princess and was waiting for a man to come and rescue me to take me away to my new life

( as happens in the movie) she replied with -

You deserve an enchanted life!

I was then told by a parent who was listening to the conversation that 2 Valium with my first coffee would have the same effect! ( my world with fuzzy edges)

Not too sure which Princess I would pick though . . .

Maybe I am Snow White . .

.

( cause sometimes I wake up Grumpy , other times I let him sleep)

I want to be able to go to this happy place!

5 Reasons why I can't go to my happy place

1. I put the directions in my "special" filing spot.

2. I put it on my list of things to do it in my spare time.

3. I asked one of my kids to organise it for me.

4. I get there and then can't remember what I am suppose to do.

5. Every time I go there someone is waiting for me!!!

Sanity and Happiness are an impossible combination!

Not sure which I value most.

It all went downhill from there!
